Paneer tikka Recipe - Sunday Special Recipe
Paneer tikka (soft paneer cubes marinated in spices and grilled) is one of the best starters in any popular Indian restaurant. It can also be served as a snack in barbecues. Given below is the method to make this wonderful dish.

The marinade is the main element which gives taste to the paneer. So take extra care in preparing both marinades.

Recipe:

Ingredients Quantity
Paneer cubes 200 gm

Marinade 1

Ingredients Quantity
Lemon juice 30 ml
Red chili powder 10 gm
Cumin (roasted and ground) 5 gm
Salt 5 gm or as per taste

Marinade 2

Ingredients Quantity
Yogurt 100 gm
Ginger paste 20 gm
Green chili paste 15 gm
Black pepper (ground) 5 gm
Cumin seeds 3 gm
Turmeric 3 gm
Gram flour 50 gm
Mint chutney 50 gm

Method

  • Put a pan on stove and add paneer cubes to it. Pour some water in it.
  • When the water boils, the paneer cubes will float. Then, drain the water.
  • Mix all the ingredients of marinade 1 and put the cubes in it. Leave aside for an hour.
  • Now mix all the ingredients of marinade 2 and add the already marinated cubes to it. Leave aside for an hour.
  • Take the cubes out, skewer and cook in a tandoor.
  • Serve with mint chutney.
