Every New year, one resolution which is on all of our minds is to – Travel more, see more and experience the world in some new and exhilarating way. Interact with new cultures and interesting cultures and learn more about the history of the places you visit.

It is, in fact, possible for you to visit 12 places, one for every month of the year if you plan in advance and save a little money for the life-changing year you could have.

Our motto for the year is, “If not now, then when.” Intrigued? Read on, we’re about to tell you how to make 2019 ‘The Year of the Holiday’, with amazing destinations for every month of the year.

1. Goa

Goa, of course! Who did not expect it to be on top of the list? The beautiful beaches, wildlife, lush green marshes, cashew farms, and rich heritage are a big appeal. Not to mention the eclectic mix of cultures and the undeniably relaxed and laid back Goan vibe. Goa is a potpourri of culture brought to this seaside state from all across the world.

2. Dindi

A popular holiday destination for the serenity loving traveller, Dindi is situated right on the banks of the river Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. The babbling sound of water is relaxing and rejuvenating, making Dindi the perfect retreat. Beautiful backwaters, houseboats, add to the eternal charm of Dindi.

3. Nainital

Nainital is one of the gems of the beautiful Himalayan range. Situated in Uttarakhand, Nainital is a pleasant hill station with much to offer. A hill station set up by the British, it has a charming history along with the ancient stories from Hindu Mythology marking Nainital as an important hill station.
Nainital offers many leisure, adventure, sports, and spiritual activities.

4. Darjeeling

Darjeeling is a dear darling to holidayers, a quaint little town at the foothills of the Himalayas. Picturesque with a colourful toy train and beautiful sights to take in, Darjeeling is a tea heaven and sacred land with many ancient temples and Buddhist Pagodas. The striking Kanchenjunga range flanks Darjeeling instilling a deep sense of peace in the heart of her visitors.

5. Wayanad

Wayanad nestled deep in the lush green of Kerala is a true representative of God’s own country. The greenery is a sight for sore eyes. Wayanad is flanked by the Bandipur forest, a wildlife sanctuary, ancient caves, and rivers. Home to rich flora and fauna, elephants, tigers, and leopards are inhabitants of these forests. Wayanad is the perfect nature retreat to recharge your batteries.

6. Mount Abu, Rajasthan

The state of Rajasthan is known for its rich culture and ancient tradition. Mount Abu is a hill station in Rajasthan surrounded by forests, overlooking a beautiful lake. It is a popular destination for honeymooners and those who embark on spiritual pilgrimages. Many temples and natural formations make Mount Abu a must visit for travel enthusiasts.

7. Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand

This National park is a scenic, national treasure at the foothills of the Himalayan range. Home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, this is the regular haunt of wildlife lovers and photographers. The park is well known for its tiger reserve and rich connection with the natural world.

8. Anaikatti, Coimbatore

Anaikatti, is a riverside village settlement in Coimbatore, situated on the banks of the Siruvani river. The village is scenic and quaint and is an ideal holiday destination for the peace lover. Anaikatti falls in the Nilgiri Biosphere allowing a glimpse of wild flora and fauna. A walk by the Siruvani river leaves all the confusion of the city hustle-bustle behind.

9. Puri, Odisha

This enchanting seaside city is in the spectacular state of Odisha. Having gained tourist attraction because of the popular Puri Jagganath temple, Puri is widely appreciated for its scenic pockets and natural allure. Perfect for a short holiday and a spiritual visit.

10. Dharamshala

Dharamshala is a popular holiday destination, simply owing to the rich and scenic view, green pastures and mighty mountains situated in Himachal Pradesh. A large number of ancient Tibetian monasteries have given the place, the name, ‘land of the Dalai Lama’. A very sacred place for the Tibetans and Buddhists, the calm cool air of Dharamshala is one of rejuvenation and relaxation.

11. Manali

This destination is on every travellers bucket list. Popularly known as the Valley of the Gods, Manali is truly a sight to behold. The lovely snow-capped mountains hold a rich mythical history. The lovely fruit trees that grow down the streets, allow for a rich and renewed experience of Manali, with many adventure activities, trekking, sightseeing and just kicking up your feet and relaxing, Manali is a must on the list this year.

12. Kanha, Madhya Pradesh

Kanha is situated in Madhya Pradesh by the edge of the Kanha National reserve. The quaint little settlement is in the midst of rich flora and fauna and reflects the royal gambits of the Bengal tiger. This wildlife and nature retreat is a lesser known treasure which is preserved with the spirit of the forest.
