Aamras Shrikhand Mango Summer Dessert Recipes

Shrikhand is one of the traditional desserts from Western India, made out of strained yoghurt. Aamras Shrikhand adds the flavour of the King of fruits – Mango to this traditional recipe and creates a wonderful summer delight


Ingredients Quantity
Yoghurt 3 to 3.5 cups approx.
Mangoes (chopped) 2 nos.
Cardamom (crushed) 4-5 nos.
Saffron strands A pinch
Sugar ½ cup


  • Put yoghurt in a muslin or cheese cloth, tie and hang for 3-4 hours to get hung curd. Remove & keep aside.
  • Puree the mangoes.
  • Add the thick hung curd, with mango puree in a blender along with crushed cardamom, saffron and sugar.
  • Blend the mixture till its smooth.
  • Chill and serve
